One half is in the billiard room on the bookshelves.

The other half was guarded by the swinging arms in the bedroom.

When you put them together, you should get fairly detailed instructions.

Look on top of another statue for the crown you need.

Hint 6 of 9:

It's on top of the statue on the first floor (the one that attacks you when
you step on a dark square).

Hint 7 of 9:

Walk up to it from the side, and it won't attack when you approach it.

Hint 8 of 9:

Then put the crown on the queen statue in the bedroom on the second floor.

Hint 9 of 9:

You'll find the amulet mentioned in the parchment in the next room (the
altar of sorts between the bedroom and the bathroom).
