                so theres only a small amont of info he can tell us.

      JHaage  | 1. Yes I know. We have know problem working together with him,
                but you should ask him. 2 Not yet.

                that they're working hard and has a credible organisation? It
                would be great with an AmigaOS that could run on PPC Macs...why
                not?

      JHaage  | The cooperation with Petro here in germany is very good, but
                AInc in USA is very slow working in my opinion.

      JHaage  | Michael Rock is working very hard on it now. He is doing some
                seed optimzations bevor we can go to the first beta test to the
                ICOA group.

   Blitzwing  | 1) What kind of intregrated support will OS 3.5 offer for
                Graphic's cards, ie standardised libraries like cybergrafix etc?
                2) Will there be any support for retargetable Audio (Like AHI) ?
                3) Is there likely to be a shift to a totally retargetable OS ?

      JHaage  | Please understand that you should wait for the official
                announcement made by AInc.

      Drizzt  | the OS 3.5 release date or it even been released full stop, is
                it gonna happen or not, as seen so many broken promises an
                nothing but vapor from AI etc, only ppl that have done anything
                promising for amiga is P5 with ppc, but as usuall AI do nothing
                to support P5 an we will prolly lose them to MACs an can new
                word pr  o "amigawriter" do word docsan pdf? (sorry if
                os 3.5 release been asked before, but i was not here)

      JHaage  | If AInc announces PowerPC support for OS3.5 many soft- and
                hardware developer can do new projects but it's in AInc's hands.

                their PPC boards? which are your relationships?

                you wait until AInc decides to tell us if it is indeed true that
                they have decided in favor of your solution?

                official anouncement.

    Mano^PPC  | What happened to Merapi Java Project ?..Is it cancelled ? Is it
                possible to give away a lite version of Merapi with OS3.5?

      JHaage  | Merapi it not cancelled but it is not possible for us to bring a
                commercial version if we don't have a licence from SUN and the
                licence is very, very expensive.

                products.

        Bean  | Why is there still no concrete WarpUP/PowerUP system where both
                are integrated? Wasn't this to be established at some point?

                else can say anything about OS 3.5 ... has AInc given you any
                idea when they (AInc) may say something?

                are with Napalm, to help with the licencing fee and to sum up if
                its worth it?

      JHaage  | No because the licence is tooooooooo high.

         RaM  | So if the licence cost of Merapi is too high, we can assume we
                wont EVER(?) see a full blown commercial or otherwise version of
                Java on current Amiga systems? Shouldnt you stop promoting it as
                the be all and end all Java solution for Amiga?

      JHaage  | No we try to use some backdoors. Our author is well known by an
                SUN employe and so on...

     portnoy  | With the importance of supporting Java, has there been contact
                with Amiga Inc about helping with that licensing fee?

      JHaage  | Yes.
