Changing the programs that are monitored for cookies

The Monitored Modules window lets you change the programs that Cookie Pal monitors for cookies.

The list displays all of the programs that Cookie Pal knows about. There are many programs that are provided with Cookie Pal by default. You can click the check box next to any of these programs to change whether Cookie Pal will monitor that program or not. The first programs (Internet Explorer and Netscape) are always monitored and cannot be changed.

You can use the New button to add a new program that Cookie Pal should monitor. When you click this button you will be prompted to enter a description, the module name, and the type of cookie messages that the module displays (this will normally be Internet Explorer style warnings). You should also see the Add Browser command for another way to add programs to this list.

You can use the Edit button to change the properties of any of the programs. You can only edit programs that you have added yourself using the New button. You cannot edit programs that were supplied built-in to Cookie Pal.

You can use the Delete button to delete a program from the list completely. You can only delete programs that you have added yourself using the New button. You cannot delete programs that were supplied built-in to Cookie Pal.

The Reset button will restore the default list of programs that Cookie Pal monitors for cookies. This may be needed if the list of programs becomes damaged somehow. When you click the Reset button, any programs that you have added yourself will be removed, and the default list of programs will be restored.
