INSTALLATION NOTES
==================

Please uninstall any previous version's of DialupMaster from your device 
before proceeding. (Quit DialupMaster from the pop-up menu before removing).


WHATS NEW
=========

The much requested addition  -  PocketPC devices now supported!

Also,

Full support for GERMAN language devices. Now German users can enjoy the benefits
of Skip Connect Window, and scripting (no more need to fiddle with the advanced
settings).

New scripting support for hiding the terminal window, and prompting the user for
a PIN number.

Pre-dial scripting has been added for users that need to do special processing,
such as sending a mobile phone a PIN code, or waiting for it to locate the network
before dialing.


FEATURES
========

Connectivity is crucial with a WindowsCE device, and power mobile users require more
functionality then the current set of features in Remote Networking. DialupMaster is a
utility to fill the gap with the following features:

- Quick Connect 
  A popup menu on the system icon tray lists your connections. You can choose to show
  any or all of Modem, Direct and System entries. You can group common entries into sub-
  menus. (eg: If you have an ISP that you connect to either via your Internal Modem, or
  an external modem, or an IRDA GSM phone, you can group these together).

	Enable "Skip Connect Window" and DialupMaster will dial as soon as you
	           select the phone entry from the pop-up menus!

- Login Scripts (and Pre-dial Scripts)
  Lacking from Remote Networking is login scripts. With DialupMaster you can now create
  custom login scripts that run after your modem connects to your ISP. The login script also
  reads your username, password and domain from your login dialog so you don't need to
  write your password into the script file. Each connection can have a different script.
  Pre-dial scripts enable custom initialization to be configured. Support for entering a 
  PIN code is provided.


- Keep-Alive
  Some ISP's have an in-activity timeout, which disconnects you. Typically desktop PC's
  have a keep-alive PING program which sends a PING message at regular intervals to
  stop being disconnected. DialupMaster allows you to enable PING messages to a 
  user definable host at any period of minutes you set.

- Online Timer
  Connecting over cellular phone and worried about the phone bill? How long have you
  been connected for? DialupMaster can display an online timer in the system icon tray
  counting the minutes you've been online for.

- Shortcut to Remote Networking
  DialupMaster has a shortcut menu to quickly open up Remote Networking (Connections
  under PSPC).

- Integration into OS
  DialupMaster integrates tightly with the OS. You do NOT need to dial the modem using
  a DialupMaster menu to use any of the features. If you prefer to use Remote Networking,
  or you use a 3rd party product which lauches a connection for you, DialupMaster will
  automatically be notified of the connection and still run your DialupMaster login script,
  show timers, send keep-alive messages!

- Affordable
  Shareware includes a trial period of 15 days, and single user registration costs US$14.95.



Compatible Devices
==================

 DialupMaster 1.3 supports the following platforms:

   - MIPS,SH3,SH4 & ARM CPU versions of Microsoft WindowsCE HPC, HPC/Pro
     and PS/PC devices. (At this time that is all 2.x CE devices)

   - Microsoft Pocket PC 3.x devices (Pocket PC)


Trouble Shooting
================

   - Installer

     Having problems with the installer? You can manually install
	 the CAB files following these steps:

	 1. Create a DialupMaster directory under your CE Services folder

	 2. Copy the files from the ZIP archive into it:

	    DialupMaster.mips.cab
		DialupMaster.sh3.cab
		DialupMaster.sh4.cab
	    DialupMaster.arm.cab
		DialupMasterAppMgr.ini
		readme.txt

	 3. Open up a DOS shell, and change to that directory

	 4. Run the CEAppMgr with the DialupMasterAppMgr.ini file as a paramater 

	    NOTE: Both CEAppMgr and the INI file _MUST_ include the full path

        eg: c:\program files\Windows CE Services\CEAppMgr.exe 
	         c:\program files\Windows CE Services\DialupMaster\DialupMasterAppMgr.ini

     5. The CEAppMgr should now startup and install TapRight on to your
	    device.
