Websites Directory
This section of the disc contains special editions of websites submitted by
individuals, companies and organisations. To protect the length of the filenames from the restrictions of ISO 9660, some of these websites have been archived as Zip files. You will need to use a program such as SparkPlug (supplied on the root directory), or a similar utility on non-Acorn platforms.
In WEB/UTILITIES:
- CacheMgr 1.10 (Robert Hampton, freeware)
A utility for cache management in your web browser. This program requires Justin Fletcher's JFShared library, which should be elsewhere on this disc.
- ImageMapper 2.43 (David McCormack, shareware)
This utility allows you to produce image maps for any graphics on your webpages. An essential utility for the web designers among you.
- Monty 1.24 (Alistair McDiarmid and David McCormack, EMAILWARE)
This small program blocks unsolicited junk e-mail from reaching your mailbox.
- WebColour 0.04r (Duncan Bellamy, freeware)
A wonderful utility which works out the colour values in HTML i.e. #00FF00 and all that. Essential.
In this section:
A complete copy of the Acorn Arcade website. To use the pages, go to the root directory, and double click on !AACADE. This will activate a special copy of LongFiles 2 designed for CDFS, and a window will open containing the website files. Double click on INDEX/HTM to start viewing. Read the ReadMe file. !AACADE has had to positioned on the root directory, because of the depth of its directory structure.

The Acorn Emulation pages, maintained by David Sharp, are the single most popular centrepoint for finding out information on, and having access to every Acorn emulator in development. If your Acorn filer has seen X-Files, then you can view the site by clicking here.
A complete copy of the Acorn User website, designed by Simon Kiff. This site is a copy of the one on last year's CD - the online site is currently undergoing a redesign, and was not completed in time for the CD.

Archive magazine is edited by Paul Beverley, and is an excellent magazine for all Acorn users. His website supplements the magazine with extra articles and software to download.

Artex Software will be one of the most prolific Acorn games companies in the coming years, if the output of late 1997 and 1998 are anything to go by. This special edition of webmaster Jan Klose's website includes details of their current software catalogue. Visit the Arcade webpage on this CD, to download demo versions of their latest wares.
This website contains photographs of various landmarks in the USA, and information about Java. You can also test your copy of !Browse with some supplied PNG images.

The Acorn Cybervillage is the premier source of Acorn related information on the World Wide Web. The webmaster, Stuart Halliday, has uploaded the site in its entirety, including the ftp site, and emulators onto the CD-ROM. This website, aka Feldner & Braun Software GdBR, is maintained by Andreas Feldner. This commercial company produces the German versions of Easiwriter and Techwriter as well as Praktikum, which is included elsewhere on this CD, and other programs.
The Flying Pig Gallery, run by Rob Ives, offers the very best in contemporary automata where you can view and buy any on display. Check out the animated GIFs!
Designed and maintained by Geoff Holland, Generation Design produces budget priced arcade games. From this website, you can download demonstration versions of items such as The Last Cybermoch, and Pharoahs of the Secret Tombs.
ISV, owned and maintained by Aaron Timbrell, is a prolific developer of art and design software for the Acorn. From this page, you can download demo versions of Font Fiend, DrawWorks Designer, and many others.

Thomas Leonard's website includes the Risc OS port of Vim, and a four player arcade game for all ages.
Stephen Borrill, the maintainer of the website, has submitted a special CD based edition for offline users to enjoy. From here you can download the demo version of MelIDI, a MIDI and audio sequencer for Acorn machines fitted with Risc OS 3.1 or later and 2mb of RAM.
Paradise is a graphic design and coding group. From this website, you can download demos of Inferno, and two other games, Overload and Pocket Money. There is also a Quicktime movie, containing a showreel of the work they produce.

PEP Associates are a software company, whose website contains evaluation/demo versions of their three products CDNet, VirtuaCD and CDFSFiler.
This website, maintained by Graham Dean, is a valuable resource for geography students. It charts the course of the River Ribble from its source in the Pennines, down to the Mersey estuary at Liverpool, stopping at various towns and cities along the way. There are over 70 pictures, each with captions.
Jonathan Brady maintains this webpage, on behalf of this small team of programmers, who have written utilities such as PhotoFiler, which provides thumbnails of images within a filer window. They also divulge why they have a lime as their logo...
Vince Hudd (aka VinceH) is the proprietor of Soft Rock Software, who have provided many free games and utilities over the years. Come and look at this complete edition of the website, which includes all the downloadable software.
Trax Software is the home of TraxSequencer, a music sequencing package.
