About the club

DARC was founded in April 1996 by Mike Smith, a local vicar, and Barry Thompson, of Selective Computer Services.
We hold monthly meetings to discuss 'All things Acorn', and publish (via snail mail and email) a monthly newsletter 'Out of the DARC' containing articles and tips from by our members. An example newsletter can be downloaded from here in Impression Style format (70k).
We currently have about 50 members from a broad range of the community in and around Derbyshire. These include teachers, parents, vicars and enthusiasts.
We have close links with our local Acorn Centre of Technology, Selective Computer Services, and Barry attends most meetings to offer hardware and software advice.

For information about becoming a member, please refer to the membership page.
