- ANKH IS AVAILABLE NOW!
After six months of hard work, Artex Software are proud to present the first native Acorn game featuring 32,000 colours in a high resolution mode, along with sixty minutes of CD audio music.
ANKH, the crazy adventure game playing in ancient Egypt, has been created by the Exodus-writing team, with support of several graphicians and musicians. The background graphics have been raytraced using a PowerMac and Cinema4D XL, while the animated characters have been drawn on a PC. All other work (apart from the music) has been entirely done on Acorn RiscPCs.
The story itself has been invented while three Artex members were on an adventure trip across southern Africa, thus Ankh contains some exotic influence. Many different scenes, characters, dialogues, jokes and riddles are awaiting the brave adventurer if he dares to enter the magic world of Ankh.
