There was a time factor involved with the development of the demo cover-disc of Robocod. There were a lot of compromises involved with its development - what is to be included, what is to be missed out. Unfortunately, the magazine deadline came before I was able to include everything I wanted, and I am ** REALLY ** disappointed with the demo as a result - as it was, it went a week over schedule.

I am also not happy with the complete conversion as it is, but I didn't say that :-)

People have complained about its slowness. It runs the same speed as the Amiga. Licences are normally strict about such things - they must look and feel as much like the original game as possible. Millennium Interactive (the original publishers of Robocod) have seen it, and have not complained about that aspect. They complained about some others, but not that one. They even thought it was slightly too fast!

By comparison, I find Zool too fast, and Robocod too slow.

Cheers,

Jason Tribbeck.
