Netscape Extensions

Netscape Communications Corp. have defined their own extensions for HTML which they are trying to work into the future HTML standards. This page shows the colouring control extensions which they have introduced. This version also contains a preliminary implementation of the background sprite tiling! The image was taken from Netscape's own sample backgrounds which are freely downloadable.

If you have the Netscape extensions switched off (on the Options menu) then you will not see any difference in the colour styles. The option was provided for people who wish to use <256 colour modes for whom some of the colours may be unreadable.

Another Netscape invention is font sizing: This is size 5 text, and this is size 2.

The latest changes made by Netscape include the ability to change colour in the middle of a render. I have also added the ability to
superscript and subscript too. You can try SingleDoubleTreble subscript too.
