The control program is compiled by drawing a flowchart.

• Symbols are collected from a toolbox and positioned on the page.
  
• Instructions are written with active key pads. Appropriate buttons are highlighted and others are dormant to avoid syntax errors.
  
• Connecting the symbols is achieved by selecting the appropriate tool (line) and clicking on the source and destination symbols.
  
• Symbols, labels and lines can be edited easily with the mouse. Symbols can be inserted and re-positioned, separately or as a group (lines will automatically follow).
  
• The active flowchart indicates the progress of the operation. Its speed can be changed (or stepped for demonstration). The window can be scaled to view the complete page.
  
• Up to 5 separate flowcharts can run simultaneously.
  
• Run initiates the program. It will respond to both digital and analogue inputs and operate up to eight outputs.
  
• A monitor window, which can be re-labelled, displays the status of the inputs, outputs and variables in real time. Manual control of the outputs is possible when the flowchart is not running.
  
• A flowchart can be tested on a computer without an interface. The inputs can be controlled by the toggle icons.
  
• 8 variables are supported and simple arithmetic can be applied.
  
• Up to 8 sub-procedures can be included.
  
• The flowchart can be saved and printed or exported as a Draw file. The page size can either be an A4, A2 portrait or A3 landscape (all reduced to an A4 when printing).
