About Echelon Software

We are a group of programmers who are dedicated to developing a range of programs for Acorn RISC OS computer systems.

We haven't yet released any commercial packages, although we have several in development that vary from a High level language compiler to a Interactive Help program for RISC OS.

Some software written by us is published as freeware and users are encouraged to make and distribute as many copies as they like. These are usually public-domain utilities (such as programming tools) or silly programs which have no market value. Many times, however, these are useful programs created by members who simply aren't interested in anything in return but the satisfaction of distribution.

Normally a disadvantage of shareware or freeware is that there is little (if any support). Both tend to be hard to find and learn about because these forms of software are inconsistently marketed (if at all). Although as group of programmers we tend to provide technical advice and assistance in using any program which we publish.

Please be patient when waiting for replies as we may not be able to reply immediately. We would also, of course welcome details of any bugs discovered in the programs written by us so that we can correct them.
