| Welcome to Handheld PC Magazine's PC Companions Online, the most comprehensive possible listing of Internet sites of interest to PC Companion users. Once again creating this proved to be a daunting task. This year I saw a shake-out in sites maintained by users. Many good sites listed in last year's issue either disappeared or have not been updated. This is a shame, but is to be expected. Keeping up a Web site is a lot of work, and promoting it is even harder. Some Windows CE-related sites are listed elsewhere in Buyer's Guide 2000. Sites for manufacturers of Windows CE devices are listed in the At A Glance comparison chart. Sites of third-party developers of software and hardware makers are listed in the contact information for each product. They are found in the PC Companion Products section, beginning on page 18.
