To use Outlook Express to complete an e-mail address

When you are addressing an e-mail message and can only remember part of the recipient's name or e-mail address, Outlook Express can search your address book to find the complete corresponding entry.

If more than one person in your address book has the same first name, Outlook Express displays all matching names, and you can select the one you want. If it cannot find a match, it then searches any directory services you have set up to to check e-mail names.

  1. In a new message window, type a partial name or address in the To box.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Check Names.
