To assign a Web site to a security zone

1. On the View menu in the browser, click Internet Options.

2. Click the Security tab.

3. In the Zone list, select Trusted sites zone, Restricted sites zone, or Local intranet zone.

4. Click Add Sites.

5. For the Trusted Sites zone and Restricted Sites zones, type the address (URL) for the Web site, and then click Add.

   For the Local intranet zone, click Advanced, type the address (URL) for the Web site, and then click Add.

Notes

• You cannot add Web sites to the Internet zone, which includes everything that does not belong to any other zone and is not on your local computer.
• You can also define which types of Web sites to include in the Local intranet zone—addresses that bypass the proxy server, network paths (UNC), and local intranet sites—by clicking Add Sites and then selecting the check boxes you want.
