To configure your computer to use a proxy server for Internet access
Obtain the proxy server address from your system administrator.
On the View menu in the browser, click Internet Options.
Click the Connections tab.
In the Connection area, select the connection type, such as Local Area Network, that you want to specify a proxy server for.
Click Settings.
Select the Use a proxy server check box, type the proxy server address in the Address box, and then type the port number in the Port box.
To specify different proxy servers for multiple ports, click Settings, click Advanced, and make sure the Use the same proxy server for all protocols check box is clear. Then, type the proxy servers and ports that you want.
Notes
