To share Internet Explorer favorites as an HTML file

1. On the Favorites menu, click Organize Favorites.

   If you want to share a specific folder, click that folder. Otherwise, Internet Explorer exports all favorite items.

2. Click Export.

3. Double-click the folder you want to save the favorites file in.

   You can save the file to a location on your computer, a floppy disk, or any network folders you have access to.

4. In the File name box, type a name for the favorites file, using an .htm file name extension.

   Share your favorites with other people by sending them the favorites file on a floppy disk, by giving them access to the file on a network folder, or by sending them the file as a mail message attachment.

Tips

• The exported favorites HTML file can be imported into Netscape Navigator bookmarks, or into Microsoft Internet Explorer on another computer.
• If you are using a previous version of Internet Explorer or a program that does not import bookmarks, you can view the exported favorites file†or bookmarks as a Web page and click individual links to view each favorite item.
