You can use PortVision Plus to identify, configure, update, and manage the DeviceMaster. In addition, it contains Test Terminal and Port Monitor. You can use the Port Monitor (PMon2) and Test Terminal (WCom2) User Guide, which provides procedures for using both Test Terminal and Port Monitor to test ports and communications.

Test Terminal can be used to troubleshoot communications on a port-by-port basis. Test Terminal requires a loopback plug. You can build a loopback plug if you are missing the loopback plug shipped with the DeviceMaster using the DeviceMaster Installation and Configuration Guide.

Port Monitor checks for errors, modem control, and status signals. In addition, it provides you with raw byte input and output counts.

This zipped file contains all of the DeviceMaster documentation used with PortVision Plus and typically is unzipped into the \Program Files\Comtrol\PortVision Plus\docs directory.
