AACD10 Newsflash!

Amiga Active CDs have some new features

Your Amiga Active CD has had a face lift

This month, your Amiga Active CD looks different. It still has the same, high quality content, but the graphics and layout have changed. We haven't done this simply because we felt like it, we have acted on feedback from you, the readers.

More options added to AACDprefs

We have extended the amount of configuration available to you. Most noticeable is that you can now select from two versions of the basic layout, to suit the size of screen you use.

Press this button to switch layouts.

See the AACD Masterclass in this month's magazine for detailed information on the new CD layout and the options available to you.

Autorun now loads NewsFlash page on first usage

Autorun users have the option to only initialise the CD without displaying the contents. From this CD, the first time you insert it, you will get the Newsflash page, even if you have set AACDprefs to not display the contents.

This is to make sure you don't miss out on important information about each new CD. It will only happen the first time you use each CD, then the behaviour will be as before.

Scalos support

Users of Workbench 3.5 and Opus have enjoyed closer integration between the CD front end and Workbench, tanks to these programs' ARexx ports. Now we have extended this support to those using Scalos as a Workbench. Scalos users can now open Workbench windows by clicking on links in the contents pages or directly from the results of searches.
