AACD08 Newsflash!

Amiga Active CDs have some new features

Faster, improved searching of the current CD

To search for a file on the current CD, type part of the filename you want to search for in the text box below the left hand menu bar. This will perform a quick search of the current CD and display the resuls in the main window. The full SearchCDs program is still available for more comprehensive searches of all AACDs and Aminet.

New layout to contents pages

We have revamped the introductory pages on the CD, to make it easier to find what you want. The main page now uses a "Tree" layout to access the various sections of the CD.

Three new sections in the AACD drawer

We have restructured the Amiga Active CD's layout this month. There are three new sections in the main AACD drawer.
Information
The Information drawer replaces the previous WebSites section and contains web sites, a listing of UK Amiga User Groups, answers to FAQs (Frequently Asked questions), postings to Amiga mailing lists and AmiBench classified advertising.

Commercial
The Commercial section is dedicated to commercial developers of hardware and software. Our intention is to provide them with a channel to give their customers access to the latest upgrades and information. This used to require a modem and an Internet connection, now you just need a CDROM drive.

If your favourite Amiga products aren't covered here, ask the publisher or developer to get in touch with us.

Resources
This isn't so much a new section as a reorganisation. Instead of having essential files scattered throughout the various sections of the CD, we have collected them all together in one place.

Easy access to changes to this and previous CDs

In addition to being shown automatically the first time you use this CD, you can also jump to the page from the Help section of the main page. The changes to previous CDs are available from the link below.
