Yes, it is! Very exciting platform with a great architecture and lots of
potential : }

>but Amiga Inc. have chosen TOAS/Elate

And this means what? That everybody who got interested with QNX when it
was introduced to Amigans at Cologne in 98 should walk away? Not likely.

is there even any plan for QNX to run on Amiga hardware anymore?

Tell me, what is Amiga hardware? Oh, you mean "classic" Amiga hardware?
Shouldn't you just forget that? It's not the path for Taos/Elate after
all...Or perhaps you refer to plans that were made with now-defunct
phase 5? Unfortunately those are ill-fated. QNX the company was just as
shocked about it as we were. Perhaps met@box. Phoenix is examining a few
ways of approaching this, maybe even for phase 5 hardware.

Many of us don't mind using it on hardware we already have. It'd push
aside an OS or two we are not so fond of ; } Seriously, though, why
should people talk about anything that is up and coming? Because it is
exciting, it offers new hope. It allows participation in its shaping.
It allows one to look forward at what could be and not back at what
might have been.

Each to one's own.
