I had this problem when I tried this demo the first time on my 603/240
+ 040/25, but it was only a matter of settings. I can't remember the
variable to modify (maybe it was env:mesa/fast) but the it worked
perfectly even in 640*480.

You can find this demo in the demo archives of mesa... :)
