Sorry, that came out wrong. I meant "for 16bit textures", not "in
16bit screen modes".

That is, hardware supported 3D textures cannot be (16bit) R5G6B5
format on Permedia2, as far as I know. (15bit) A1R5G5B5 format
textures are OK (and can be used in 16bit screen modes), along with
some other depth texture formats, but not (16bit) R5G6B5 format
textures.

Well, if (16bit) R5G6B5 textures are supported in hardware on
Permedia2, then it's news to me. I tried it originally with Warp3D,
but W3D_GetTexFmtInfo() returned a code indicating "unsupported".
