Most likely it was programmed in a mixture of C and assembler. The guys
at Capcom love assembler. I'm luck enough to know a couple of
ex-programmers from there and apparently most stuff done by the main
programming teams is in assembler, although they mainly worked on the
Street Figher Alpha and Rival Schools games in Japan for Saturn and PSX.
The PC version may well be totally C, but IIRC it appeared a while after
the PSX version so would itself be a port of the original.
