You should not try to install it manually. The installer selected the
right libraries, you will always have to use the V4 libraries with
Permedia-cards, even if you have CGX3 (as stated in the docs ;).

Is the screen really *completely* blank when you start the engine
demo? No colored rectangles, no text? Did you select a 15 bit mode
(Engine relies on 15 bit modes, WarpTest does work with 15 or above)?
