The gears demo is normally using 15 bit screens. You can try to compile a
version that opens a 16 or 32 bit screen, that should make a difference.
Apart from that, MiniGL uses the Matrix from the OpenGL-Specs for
generation of the texture coordinates. So basically, it should look the
same...
