Collecting and posting news with MicroDot-II

Settings for news are simpler than for mail. As long as you have the news server set to news.u-net.com and the "Use NNTP-Auth?" box unticked it will work.

Getting a newsgroup list

Microdot-II fails while downloading the full newsgroup list. The solution is to download MDGetNewsGroups, unpack the archive and run the program from a shell while online.

It will download the full list from the server and store it under your current user name in MicroDot.

Voyager

Set up your mail address as in MicroDot-II. For other settings, see the page on the Proxy Server.
