Hyperion is pleased to announce that it has bought the Amiga rights for the final installment in Team 17's cult Worms-series.

"Worms: Armageddon" will be released for Amiga classic (68060 and PPC/WarpOs) and Amiga NG. The Amiga classic version will require a graphics-board (AGA version under review) and will support soundcards through AHI.

Worms: Armageddon should be available on CD around the end of the year.

"We did not intend to go public with this for quite some time", says Ben Hermans, managing partner of Hyperion. "Recent rumours surrounding an Amiga NG version have however left us little choice. In actual fact, negotiations with UK based Team 17 started several months ago and were finalised some weeks prior to the WoA. We certainly hope Amiga users will appreciate the chance to play the final installment in the Worms-series, which started out so many years ago on the Amiga. We will continue to deliver on our promise to bring high-quality titles to the Amiga Classic."
