Got your message about [amiga-c] Re: strdup(), on 24-Apr-00

An equivalent piece of source that works in the same way would be
perfect. If I use malloc will not NOT deallocate mem on exit of
function? i don't want to pass a pointer back which is made iunvalid
as soon as procedure is exited.

At additional cost :-/
