Hello Mark,
I didn't had a look in the manual for some time.
That switch is to controll timing of the Scandoubler; if your screen
doesn't look sharp, try the other position.
Scando will only double 15kHz modes as pal, ntsc and euro36,
so for other modes you will need a Monitor that will display them
(standart VGA-Monitors display usually 30kHz and up)
Have also a look at

they support it.
