I suspect you'll need BoingBag 1 and 2, but you may as well install 1 now

The A400's IDE port is already buffered. I got an adapter from Eyetech in
the UK for about 20 UKP which lets me use 4 devices (when using IDEFix).
You can order online from the US, and they also sell IDEFix and their own
EZIDE.

You need two IDE cables, each of which can have two devices attached (master
& slave), although you can't have more than 2 hard drives and I've never
been able to get a second CD-ROM working.
