Subject:HDToolBox Bug?

Hello All,

I just got the replacement for my old A4000 that was trashed when part
of the ceiling fell on it.

I was able to safely salvage my old HD from it and it seems to be
working OK. When I got in the new system (which came with a
harddrive,) I installed 3.5 on it from scratch. (This was after I had
just the old HD plugged in and I renamed the partitions.) When I
booted off of the old or new drive, (both now having 3.5 on it,) only
the Master drive came up. Remembering the problem from working with
3.1, I fired up HDToolBox so I could have the program recognize that I
added the drive and to save the changes to my system. On the OS 3.5
program, it didn't pop up with the nice requestor telling me that I
added the drive. So I fired up the 3.1 HDToolbox and I got the
requester stating that I added or removed drives from the system and
that I'd have to save changes to get the other drive to come up. I did
this and it works fine. My old data was still intact.

I think that the Newer HDToolBox needs this to be fixed. Sure you have
the 3.1 version, but the current program should be able to do this as
well. Anyone else notice this?

Regards
Mark
