Yes, I do all of my own work, (being a electronics tech.) However, you do
bring up a good point. Even *I* :) am capable of making a mistake. I am
going to make a whole new floppy cable, using the old one as a template. I
did do some repair work on the old, when I discovered that it had a loose
connector. I fear, however, that there may be more wrong, so I think the
best thing to do is just start over. If this isn't it, perhaps the best
thing is to assume that it is a failing floppy drive.
