Subject:Ariadne II and Miami

I have an Amiga 2000 running OS 3.5 and an Ariadne II card with Miami. I
tried to configure TCP/IP last night for the first time and I am running
into some problems. I am using Sybergen Sygate to distribute IP
addresses to PCs on my network so that I can connect through a cable
modem to the Internet. Basically, Sygate allocates an IP address through
DHCP. It also distributes a default gateway, subnet and DNS server info.

When I start the MiamiInit program (I am using Miami included on the OS
3.5 CD), I set the device name to araidne_ii.device, it automatically
detects DHCP because it gets an IP address, subnet, and default gateway.
It hangs up while trying to verify the DNS servers, therefore I am
unable to get on the Internet. I verified that it appears to work by
pinging another device on my network.

I tried to configure the DNS servers as hosts and I tried adding all the
information manually in the config of Miami but the entries randomly
disappear for some reason. It says I added them and when I save the
config, they disappear.

Is anyone out there using a similar configuration? If not, could someone
provide me some guidance on what I may be doing wrong to configure Miami
manually? I REALLY want to get my Amiga on the Internet.

Thanks in advance.
