At the time it was plugged into an A2000. I strongly suspect it was due
to the accelerator card I had at the time, an A5000 68020 that plugged
directly into the 68000 socket rather than the proper processor card
socket. If the 68020 was active I couldn't format the hard-drive without
getting masses of read/write errors, or copy directly from one SCSI
device to the other without the machine locking up, something to do with
a DMA problem with the accelerator I believe. It's not a problem now as
I use the SCSI port on my Blizzard 2040 with absolutely no problems at
all.
