You can get THAT far? I also have an original copy of the game which is
installed on my HD, but it locks up way before that point in the game. I even
tried it from floppies again (that was painful) but it locked up just the same
(can't remember the exact point, though).
It's a shame, because it's a really great game, but I never got very far
because it crashed :(
IMHO, the game dislikes some newer hardware. Perhaps someone knows of a
bugfix?
