Subject:Thank-you ever so much!

Hello

Well I have finally got everything working as I like it. The PowerUp
emulation is working, WarpUp is now working (see below); and Quake runs at a
superb (well it's a BIG step up from my 040/40!) 15fps under WarpUp, in
400x300 (it seems like 640x480!) 100% screen size.

Just; once again a big thank-you to all those who helped in any way, this
e-mail can't show my appreciation for the help you gave me!

I tracked the problem with WarpUp down to a ENV variable called NoPPC. By
deleting this, after a reboot, WarpUp worked! :)) I have also successfully
installed the PowerUp emulator from Frank Wille. I have decided that I will
in general run PowerUp, but when I need WarpOS, I won't have any qualms
about using it. I have yet to really put the ppc.library emulator to test,
but I know that AmigaAMP works with the decoder set to 'PowerUp'.

Which brings up one other question! ;)

Sometimes when using AmigaAMP set to WarpOS set as the decoder, (thsi AMP
being the MP3 player, not AmiDog's MPEG etc. player :) the music stops
playing and it requires me to click on pause twice to restart the music
where it stopped? How can this be solved? I have set it a massive stack
size, could it be AHI? It never happened under PowerUp? When I use the
decoder as PowerUp under ppc.library emulation it happens as well. Any
ideas?

Anyway thanks once again, I'm dead happy (especially as Quake runs
magnificently, and that Doom runs at a heart stopping 36fps!) with it all
and now I have tweaked the system; the 68K performance is now pretty
acceptable. That doesn't mean it's as fast as my 040/40 on the 040/25, but
since most things that I needed the extra MIPS for on the 040/40 are now
handled by the PPC, it's no problem. Also I tried Quake on the 68K....

....how did I play *that!*.... :))

Now, all I have to do is sort out that blinkin' CD-ROM drive... :)) Oh and
btw, the flash rom has ppc.library v46.25; what is the very latest version,
and where abouts is the flash update on http://v3.vapor.com ?

All the best,

Nick Lamburn.
Getting there, slowly! ;)
