Anyone with half a brain cell would have figured that out. I use 1012x768,
because I have my Windows task bar on the right of the screen (can't stand
it at the bottom). Why use native screen modes anyway - the Picasso96
emulation is very good.

It's not Workbench that's why, go buy it.

That's a problem with your graphics card/drivers or DirectX. Best make
sure you have DX7.0a if you have 95/98.

Just go and buy a Gameboy, not as if they're expensive.
(And for those of you wondering why I use UAE as an Amiga developer, yes, I
use it for testing - it's crap for development :)
