You could either look for a package called "NetPBM", available on
Aminet, or use Photogenics 4; I know the latter has support for PPM,
since I wrote the PPM module ;)

Note however, that PPM is not a 32 bit format, it can only handle 24
bits (red, green, blue, no alpha). The only format with decent alpha
support I have come across until now is PNG, but that's a bit harder
to read. There is a very basic PNG reader in the Engine demo, but that
one cannot handle everything, and uses libpng...
