I am fully aware that this isn't the list for this kind of diskussion,
However, I have just compiled a kernel Whithout SCSI, with A1200 PCMCIA
network support, And with Amiga DMA sound.. It works great for me, if
anyone want it, just mail me...
I have "run >NIL: c:bppcfix install reboot" at the top of my
Startup-sequence, so I use ppclibemu, but the latest boothack have an
automatic way of recognizing Wup or P5'sPPC... just use it..

And I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't even get so far as an Kerne Panic
either, if it was an ppclib, warpup problem, I think the problem is in the
kernel, or your Linux config-setup.
