big problems.
You really have to start from scratch. ie the 4.0 CDROM installer.
from there , install the 4.1 patch, then the 4.2 patch.
then install the _preX patches in numerical order.
if you get ANY errors, then things are going wrong. the cgx patches/updates
all work without errors.
