tutorial. As I moved the guy, it seemed like it was flickering to a
previous frame. Then I decided to try and set the screen to a
smaller size. When the screen was selected, Heretic II stopped said
"Cannot open window" and ever since then, I cannot get Heretic to
open on any screen. I have tried to delete the ENV: and ENVARC:
variables, and selected different screen modes for it to use, but
now I always get "Cannot open window" message.

Did you start with the Run_HereticII script? This sets up a few things
before starting the demo proper. These must be done first.

Try this:

delete ENV:HereticII-Demo all
delete user all (in the HereticII-Demo directory)
execute Run_HereticII

Make sure that there is no mode promotion running, otherwise there
might be trouble...
