I'm sorry but, as they didn't sign it, how will we see it's a "before
christmas" version ?

Then, if a port is using Warp3D, it will be inspired of GLQuake, which
sources didn't go out of id soft before IIRC.

In fact, I allready did some port based on the illegal version of the
sources before, the difference being that it hasn't been spreaded. And
I had another way to deal with my conscience. I would like to share it:
You can use any version you want no matter of it's legality, but please
please, do not get illegal copies of the data (.pak) files. Because
those have never been in Public Domain. You can test QuakePPC using the
demo version of these files. And then, if you like it, just buy
ClickBOOM
quake version. It'll be more expansive, but you'll will have paid a
tribute to their big work. Remember that as "pirates" just did a
recompilation with some optimisations, ClickBOOM's rewritted all the
product, adding many functionnalities you won't see in any other
version of Quake. Remember too, that those pirate versions of Quake just
did prevent ClickBOOM from doing there own PPC version of Quake (which
would have been really better), and I'm very sad to see that this great
version will never exist, and that we'll stay with those ugly versions
allready existing. That's why I didn't spread my version (which is
rather a rapid port, a more a style exercice than something else).

So yes, in these times, supporting work, Amiga and law is the only way
to keep our machine alive.

I'm not against piracy, but none should use a pireted soft for more than
2 or 3 days. Many people left the Amiga because they saw 10 pirated
versions of their soft for one they received a registration fee for. And
that's really sad.
