If you're having problems running Wipeout 2097, please read this (courtesy
of Sam Jordan):
"The first problem is, that quite some people experience a PPC
crash at startup, before the first
picture appears. Even I myself had the crash at cologne at the
beginning, luckily we found the
reason there. It turned out that the installed Warp3D main
library was too old, so that we had to
install the Warp3D archive which is on the WO2097 CD.
Unfortunately the installer didn't copy the
new library, so that we did it by hand. The reason is probably,
that the version number of the main
library wasn't raised by accident, while the version number of
the Permedia2 driver was raised
indeed. So the driver reported 'chroma test available' and the
game then wanted to jump to a API
function which wasn't present in older Warp3D main libraries.
All people having the same problem should first remove their
Warp3D installation (IMHO deleting
Warp3DPPC.library should be enough) and do a fresh installation
of Warp3D from the WO2097
CD.
