The problem is not the emulator or the bottom layer, but AOS itself.
To make AOS working directly on the hardware it is necessary to *port*
it, resp. make it hardware-independant, write all drivers etc. But
buy doing this the goal of running AOSPPC sometimes on that hardware has
been approached quite a lot, so what's the point then with going such
a way with WarpOS/AOS68K? If AOS has become more or less hardware-independant
it's just a matter of recompiling plus write the processor HAL layer.

I doubt this. POP and AOSPPC are tightly bound, I don't see much other
possibilities to use POP boxes and AOS (other than with UAE, but we
could probably forget the PPC stuff then).

This doesn't make any sense at all. WarpOS is of *NO* use for itself.
To make AOS running you need to port AOS, WarpOS has nothing to do with
this issue.

Again: WarpOS itself will disappear with the POP boxes. Compatibility
to WarpUp is supposed to be kept using wrapper implementations which
go down to AOSPPC.
