Yup. Actually, I had forgotten I signed up for this list as this message is
the first I've seen.

Now, a real WarpUP question. Regarding Metabox's amiJoe cards, they had once
said they would support WarpUP if "someone does the abstraction layer" or
something like that. Later they said they would support running WarpUP
software on amiJoe. This was all in email responses to me asking at their
amijoe@metabox.de email address. Does this mean it is official support
licensed from H&P, or are we going to see some sort of API wrapper along the
lines of PPClibemu to run PowerUP (yuck) software under WarpUP? I don't
currently have a PPC card, and have been thinking between amiJoe and Escena's
Brainstormer, and the ability to run the available software with the best
performance is the deciding factor at this point. Especially as I now have my
copy of Wipeout 2097 here waiting for a PPC card and Village Tronic's Voodoo
3d addon for my PicassoIV, and also have FusionPPC on order which I
understand also uses WarpUP. I'm just hoping that amiJoe does have complete
WarpUP support, as I'd really hate to see another kernel war which is silly
at this point since the Amiga market is now so much smaller than the last
war. The main reason I don't have a PPC card now is due to the last war that
made sure very little PPC software existed, I sincerely hope such a situation
doesn't happen again...
