This is one thing that has been on my mind for a while, it affects _all_
prefs programs saving their prefs to envarc: and env:
Problem: new settings in ENV: for some reason crashes the machine, far too
often this happens as the prefs program still isnt finnished saving to envarc:
resulting in validation, and some times even worse problems.
Simple solution: Save first to envarc:. then either till the prefs for
sure is written to envarc:, wait another second, then write to env:
Perhaps a job for happyenv.
