Hi!

Well I used Fiasco by Nils Bandener + MicroDot-II + YAM + PGP2.6.3i +
some custom written ARexx scripts written by me to coordinate the
AmigaOS betatest. There is one database which keeps the data of all
testers, translators and developers. It has functions to maintain the
mailing list, to encrypt updates, to send out encrypted emails and to
generate a guide file containing informations of all testers (like
name, phone and pgp key and system-configuration). It also has some
functions for PGP key management.

Then there is a database containing all the bug reports. It is fed by
a script which parses the internal beta mailing list and imports all
report forms on it. It has also some other functions.

Also some H&P FAQs are generated by a Fiasco database + ARexx scripts.
It takes questions and answers for several applications and can
generate some HTML and AmigaGuide files out of it. It can also pack
the AmigaGuide files together for distribution. Look in
AmiNet:biz/haage for those FAQs in AmigaGuide format. Or on the
homepage.

Unfortunately I never came around to document and release the
databases to the public (well the structure not the content!!!).
Especially the FAQ database could be a useful tool.

If you search for a nice database with GUI and good ARexx port this is
for you. If you want to have a networked database usable by more than
one user at the same time, or if you want to have a online solution
with web access you may want something different.

At last I think if you want a GUI driven db, Fiasco is way better than
FinalData. Its shareware.
