Depends, is it happening under WB3.5? :-)

Actually, for the moment I'm not using Executive because (subtle hint to
development team) I STILL HAVE THAT FREEZING BUG (end subtle hint to
delvelopment team) and I'd like to be able to clearly see any bugs that might
arise from Executive's use. Especially now that it may be patching into
already well patched functions...

The main goal is to keep tasks that depend on each other at similar relative
priorities. Otherwise the whole system might be limping about on the
trickle-down theory of CPU availability.

Its best to find a general solution and then expand from there. There are
several factors that occur in each system, it isn't wise IMO to try to shove
every possibility into its own "situation".

Remember that Executive is nearing a good three years of age.

WBCtrl just filps a few config bits of the OS and disappears, Executive
typically deals with programs that run for a period of time.

If FBlit leaves a task then odds are you'll want to offer it a high priority.
Hopefully it would default to a priority above your scheduling catch range.

Why don't you use DiskMaster2? Theres a link to the main site at www.xav.to.

It may well be something else. Due to the nature of all those patches and
hacks, its no surprise something could cause slowdowns.

The procedure I use is to narrow down what patches might be causing this is to
disable half of all the current patches and try the operation in question, do
the other half if it doesn't work, narrow it down. etc etc...
