Maybe you have installed a player for audiofiles in your webbrowser (or an
event in Miami playing a sound) that doesn't release the device once its
finished replaying?
You could easily check that if you enter "Setpatch PATCHINFO" - the "patch
use count" should be 0 for the audio.device if really no program using it
is running.
I'm using Miami here as well, I don't have problems, and audio.device is in
the nsdpatch.cfg as well.
