So...
We have available,
: PoolMem,
: AllocPv2.0,
: FragCure.
I happen to have been tinkering with using PoolMem.
Why?
- Because I ran many tests and proved to myself it was the best tool
for the job? NO.
- Because I ran tests and proved to myself that it even made any
difference at all? NOPE.
- Solely because I read the docs and was convinced by them that it
/would/ make a difference and that it was the preferred tool to use?
YEP.
Pretty feeble reason.
What does everyone else think?
DOES Poolmem improve my system? Is one of the other programs better,
in an OS3.5BB1+ environment?
Has anyone any experience of tangible benefits?
Program authors - please do not be offended by my questions. I am
eternally grateful to you all for the fantastic work that you place
at the disposal of Amiga users worlwide and I am in no doubt that you
have made proper tests.
My problem is that I have no /feel/ for the amount of benefit obtained
from using these programs, and their 'value for money', in the
currency of system resources/overhead used to obtain such benefits.
John.
